Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray is not a regular leave-in conditioner. It is a heat-activated styling treatment for frizz-prone hair, designed to help achieve a smoother blow-dry.

What Heat Changes

Blow-dryer heat and brush tension activate the polymer technology. A light coat forms around each strand, repelling moisture that can make styled hair swell or turn frizzy. The finish feels glossy rather than oily. The smoothing effect can remain through three to four shampoos, so the spray is not needed after every wash.

Pick the Right Dream Coat

The original Supernatural Spray suits hair that will be dried smooth. Curly or wavy hair seeking defined curls may get a better match from Dream Coat for Curly Hair. Very dry or coily hair may need the Extra Strength version.

How to use
  1. Shampoo and condition hair as normal. Towel-dry to remove excess water. Hair should be damp and not dripping wet before any product is applied.
  2. Divide hair into sections before reaching for the spray. Working in sections is not optional here. It is what makes the difference between complete, even coverage and patchy results. Missed sections will not be protected.
  3. Hold the bottle a short distance from the hair and spray each section thoroughly, both the top surface and the underside. Every part of every strand needs coverage. Spray until the section feels fully saturated, not just lightly misted.
  4. Do not apply other styling products to wet hair at this stage. Any product applied before the blow-dry is complete can interfere with how the polymer forms and bonds to the hair. Other styling products may be added after the full blow-dry is finished.
  5. Comb through each section with a wide-tooth comb to distribute the product evenly before drying.
  6. Blow-dry section by section using a round brush or paddle brush. Hold each section taut and direct the airflow downward along the hair length until the section is completely dry. The combination of heat and tension in this downward direction is what activates the polymer, compresses the cuticle, and locks the humidity-resistant matrix in place. Do not rush this step. Sections that are not fully dry will not hold the protective matrix as effectively. Apply every 3 to 4 washes to maintain continuous frizz protection.
