How to Use

Apply a dime-sized amount to wet hair.
Massage and lather into hair.

This shampoo is highly concentrated. A very small amount, roughly the size of a 1-rupee coin, is enough for most hair lengths. Start small every time. More product does not produce more repair. If the first lather feels thin, add a few drops of water to the palms and rub again rather than adding more shampoo. Emulsifying the product briefly in the palms before touching the hair helps the formula lather faster and distribute more evenly.
Apply to fully wet hair and massage into the scalp using the fingertips. Work in circular motions starting at the hairline and moving inward. Once the scalp is fully covered and lathered, run the remaining product through the mid-lengths and ends by hand. Do not scrub the hair aggressively or pile the lengths on top of the head. This creates unnecessary friction and tangling, especially on hair that has been chemically processed, bleached, or heat-damaged.
Rinse completely and thoroughly. Every trace of shampoo must come out. Rinsing well before the conditioner step allows No.5 to absorb properly into clean hair rather than being partially blocked by leftover product. For hair that carries heavy product buildup, a second wash is acceptable occasionally, but it is not needed at every wash cycle.
Follow immediately with Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner on mid-lengths and ends. These two products are formulated to work as a system. Consistent use of both together delivers measurably stronger, shinier, and more resilient hair over time. For an additional repair step once or twice a week, apply Olaplex No.3 or No.3PLUS as a pre-shampoo treatment to damp hair before this step.
