Wet hair fully before applying. Use lukewarm water, not hot. Hot water strips the natural oils from curly hair before the shampoo even begins to work, leaving curls drier and more prone to frizz after washing.
Apply a small to moderate amount to the scalp and massage gently in circular motions using your fingertips. Do not scrub the lengths aggressively. The product travels down naturally during rinsing and cleans the mid-lengths and ends as it goes.
Rinse thoroughly using cool or lukewarm water. Cool water helps close the hair cuticle slightly, which reduces frizz early and helps curl definition hold after the wash.
Apply the BeFabulous Curl Defining Conditioner immediately after on mid-lengths and ends. Do not skip this step. Curly hair needs the moisture conditioning that is provided after every single wash, not just occasionally.
